Crash Closes Portion Of I-495 Inner Loop In Montgomery County

A major crash closed a portion of the Inner Loop of I-495 in Montgomery County on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash was reported just past Exit 34 in Rockville Pike/MD 355 around 12:35 p.m., according to the Montgomery County OEMHS:

Traffic was getting by on the right shoulder. All lanes were blocked as crews responded. Significant delays were expected.

The right two lanes had reopened as of around 2:10 p.m., while the left two lanes remained closed for fluid cleanup, an update said.
